If you have ever heard someone referring to a city as a concrete jungle, they have probably been referring to microrayons, full of Monolitkes. These microrayons are as puzzling as hell and you can get lost easily as each yard looks identical to the previous ones. But only for those, who have not spent their entire life here.
A real inhabitant of the hood never gets lost. He cracks the codes of the intercom to get into the stairway where his homies are waiting for him as this is usually the meeting point for them to eat sunflower seeds, talk about cars, listen to the best hits on their cell phones (there is always one self-appointed cell phone DJ in a group), ride the elevator, leave small messages on the wall with a sharpie. You see something more than a stairway in a monolithic apartment building. You see a meeting venue, a watchtower, a shelter that protects you!
